Shark and Ray Citizen Science projects

Shark and ray citizen science is happening all over the world. While the PADI Global Shark and Ray Census (GSRC) is interested in sightings of all shark and ray species across the globe, we are most interested in what divers are seeing and reporting from places where no other monitoring programmes exist. Meanwhile, if there is a monitoring programme in your area, we encourage divers to first contribute to local monitoring efforts

The GSRC science team has invited citizen science projects to provide their details to us so we can help point divers towards local efforts. These projects are listed below.

If you would like to add your citizen science project to this list, please click on 'Collaborate with Us' (below), and read the documentation. This documentation includes a link to an online 'Collaboration Request" form where you can tell us about your citizen science programme so that we can include it in the list above, and ensure we are aware of your project.
