Sharks International 2026 brought together researchers, conservationists, and shark enthusiasts from around the world with one shared goal: protecting sharks and rays. As a first-time scientific conference attendee, I discovered a global community built on collaboration, curiosity, and passion. From presenting my research on tiger shark predation at Kure Atoll to making unexpected connections, this experience showed me the value of stepping outside my comfort zone.
